Today is Trey's 6th birthday. She will get to work ducks this afternoon as a birthday present. It's been warm enough to work ducks all week but the mud and muck have been horrible. It's finally dried off enough for a quick birthday session for her. She will be in heaven.
This date also marks the one year anniversary of one of my best friend's passing. Judy had a rare form of cancer and passed away in the early morning hours during a horrible blizzard. I still miss her.
Last year's blizzard actually started on January 31st and raged thru the afternoon of February 2nd. The groundhog of course didn't see his shadow so we were all praying for an early spring!
No blizzard this year. We're fogged in right now with less than a 1/2 mile visibility but it is supposed to become sunny this afternoon and in the mid-40s. Not too bad for the middle of winter here in the midwest! I'll take it.
