Yesterday our "snow drought" (that's what the local meteorologists have been calling it) of the winter came to an end. Our first significant snowfall of the 2011-2012 winter season fell . . . and fell . . . and fell yesterday. And of course there were gusty winds to help push that snow into some impressive (and not-so-impressive) drifts. The worst is the cold and wind-chill. Bitter, bitter cold yesterday and again today. Br-r-r!
But the dogs wanted (needed) to go outside and run a bit, so I bundled up and took them out. This was Callen's first snowfall but other than running around like her butt was on fire, she didn't seem to take any notice of the 'new stuff' on the ground.
